The award winning hospital Piedmont Medical Center is slated to open a sister hospital called Fort Mill Medical Center and will be located at the intersection of Highway 160 and Highway 21 Bypass. This new hospital proposed for Fort Mill SC “will operate as a subsidiary of Amisub South Carolina, Inc., and as a sister hospital to Piedmont Medical Center,” according to the Fort Mill Medical Center website. PMC’s CEO, Bill Masterton, will also serve as CEO of the new hospital Fort Mill and a team will be designated to manage the daily operational administration. With 100 beds, 220,000+ square feet, and 400+ proposed jobs, the hospital Fort Mill will keep tax revenue local.
