Let's take a look at an easy way to make Homemade Lunchables for the kids to take to school. Taking a tip from a friend of mine, a super cool mom, she makes all these cool snacks for home and school on Sundays. It takes a few hours, but for the rest of the week -- she just points to the kitchen when one of her kids comes whiney for a snack.
Not that you have to go that far, let's just focus on the school lunches.
STEP 1: BUY REUSABLE TUPPERWARE OR A BENTO BOX AND REUSABLE BAKING CUPS TO KEEP FOOD SEPARATED

STEP 2: FOLLOW THIS RECIPE FOR A HEALTHY MEAL EVERY TIME
(2) fruit/vegetable + (1) starch + (2) proteins + (1) drink
Homemade "Chex Mix"
Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Cheese (sliced or shredded)
Mixed Nuts or Trail Mix
KIND Bar (exception to the rule)
Milk (2% or Whole, Almond, Soy)
If you can't make it yourself, try to buy organic. Avoid pre-packaged items -- even though it's tempting.
Remember, it doesn't have to be pretty!
