THE LUCKY DUCK Gastropub in Baxter Village will open for dinner this Friday 5/24/19 at 5 pm.

The team behind CO, the popular Southeast Asian restaurant located in two distinguished Charlotte centers, will open The Lucky Duck, a neighborhood gastropub inspired by the flavors and hospitality of Ireland. The new concept will be open for dinner daily at 5PM, beginning this Friday, May 24th. The Lucky Duck is located in Baxter Village at 993 Market Street, Fort Mill, SC 29708.

The Lucky Duck team is committed to developing dishes comprised of locally sourced ingredients and demonstrating customer service bursting with Irish hospitality.

North Carolina Native, Executive Chef Joshua Chapman, will lead the culinary team. Chef Chapman is excited for this new concept and says “our menu will blend both familiar flavors with generations old Irish recipes all with an eco-minded culinary focus.” His culinary experience stretches through various cuisines and styles with his most recent position being a five-year dedication to popular Asheville restaurant, Corner Kitchen, where he held the title of Executive Chef. Chef Chapman says, “we’re sourcing the best ingredients we can find to create simple yet elevated dishes. We can’t wait for our Baxter Village and Fort Mill neighbors to try what we’ve come up with.”

Twenty of Charlotte’s favorite beers will be served on tap alongside a beverage program comprised of creative, craft cocktails, assorted wines, and gourmet sodas.

The Lucky Duck’s space blends both welcoming and unconventional with elements such as custom neon signs, distressed wood, brick flooring and repurposed metals. The interior was designed to be comfortable and inviting all while exhibiting the creative expression of local area artists and purveyors. The team will continue to utilize upcycled materials with affectionate details as the rooftop construction begins. We will keep you updated as to the progress of the rooftop opening.
